INSEA, the Belgian Computing and Software Engineering Association represents its members by promoting the IT industry and related services with companies and local authorities. It ensures that the ethical standards of the profession are maintained and guarantees the quality of projects carried out by its members. Moreover, INSEA offers a forum on which the major IT players can meet and discuss. Its members excel in the quality of the services and products that they provide.
What do we do?
By permanently surveying the IT-market and by taking part in a day-to-day dialogue with its members and European sister associations, INSEA provides valuable information for customers in search of dedicated services and software packages. By informing companies and official bodies of the capabilities and opportunities offered by its members, INSEA promotes specific services such as consultancy, development and distribution of packages, system engineering, technical support, networking and added value services, facilities management, support and maintenance of application software etc… INSEA also maintains a close relationship with universities and colleges for the promotion of an adapted educational program, as well as with Belgian commercial representations abroad in order to promote foreign trade as well. Consultancy and monitoring of social and legal affairs, management development and wage structuring are other issues offered by INSEA. INSEA provides a meeting place for its members to share their experiences. It negotiates new forps of collaborative ventures and monitors the ethical integrity of its members, ensuring they adhere to the ethical rules laid down in the Association's statutes. INSEA is the spokesman for the Belgian Informatic Services Companies in their relations with official bodies and Quality Insurance Institutes.
Insea defends the common interests of its members by :
- promoting the financing of growth and innovation by venture capitalists
- promoting the international development of the Belgina IT Industry
- initiating important projects with public authorities
- standardising the rules on public tenders with governmental bodies
- protecting intellectual properties
- improving the training of software engineers
- promoting outsourcing contracts, especially with official bodies
- enhancing the competitive edge of the Belgian IT industry
This program is the result of feedback provided by working groups who have studied specific topics, as defined by the general Assembly
